Ruined my birthday
I went to Cosmo with my family for my birthday on Saturday evening. When we got there is was extremely busy and we had to wait in the very crowded reception area for 20 minutes. We were eventually seated and paid for the meal (customers must pay before eating). We finished our meal and were chatting, when a male member of staff came over and told my husband we had to leave because they needed the table and that we were only allowed to stay until 7.45. My husband explained that we had been kept waiting for 20 minutes, so the staff member grudgingly said we could have a bit longer. However, all nine of us had finished eating and we were preparing to leave anyway. A few minutes later, a young waitress came over and asked us to leave again. I told her that this was very rude and that I wanted to see the manager. She looked terrified and did not move. I got up and walked over to the man that sent her and told him that he was extremely rude and that I would not be returning. He said "that's fine" and made no attempt to apologise. This restaurant clearly crams as many people in as possible and this results in a hot, stuffy and stressful atmosphere. The toilets are filthy and the young waitresses are under intolerable pressure. My advice is; let less people in and put the focus on the customer having a pleasant experience. Although the food is nice and my children like it, I will never go again. Customer service is non existent.
