Being harrased for 'owed money'
being harrased for 'owed money' from 2 years ago - e-mail below sent to Nuffield Health since I am going around in circles with them. Good Morning, I have received yet another letter through the post informing me that I owe you £75 from a treatment dated 17/05/2022, to re-iterate I have private healthcare insurance through my company workplace and any excess would be payable directly to them or requested at the time, when this has been requested I have paid, this amount is not due for 2 reasons. I pay for private healthcare that covers all payments. Anything not covered is paid for through an excess payment at the time it is billed. I changed bank accounts last year and would not be able to verify what payments I have or haven't paid, I would suggest that this is a desperate attempt to recover some of the £64m deficit that Nuffield health is currently in, please provide proof that this amount is due rather than simply a threatening letter demanding money with no proof whatsoever that you have or haven't received this money, we live in a digital age and there is no reason why an initial invoice would not have been sent via e-mail, failing that please provide proof of posting the invoice and provide original copies of the invoice correctly dated at the time they were issued so I may inspect these as I say I moved banks and home address so it is doubtful I can look into what payments came out of my account at this time, but without any substantial evidence from yourself I am unable to help you with this. If as your letter suggests you instruct any form of debt collection agency to attempt to recover this unproved debt that is now almost 3 years old, you will be met with full escalation from a legal representative who will act accordingly to recover damages from Nuffield health. I will also contact various media outlets to raise public awareness of your practises.
