The worst attitude to Customer Service I've come across in years.

The review concerns the branch at Crowthorne in Berkshire. I placed an online order for 3 sheets of plasterboard at 14:47 on Friday 7th March. The online system confirmed a delivery date of 8th March, with the message that the branch would be in touch to "discuss delivery at my convenience". No call was received, and I've checked my "missed calls" list on my phone - no-one tried to contact me. Nothing showed up on Saturday. I put this down to it possibly being a "working days" issue. At 11:00 on Monday 10th, I called the branch. The person that took my call "couldn't check the system as I don't have a log-in", but promised to get someone to call me straight away. I told him that my reception at home is poor, so I'd hang around where I was. !5 minutes later, I'd had no call so called again. After some initial problems I was transferred to the manager, who breezily told me "well they wouldn't have been delivered as we didn't got a driver on Saturday". I asked if I'd get the order today and was told that the branch simply doesn't have a driver. The manager then tried to claim one of his staff had called. When I told him there was no sign of a missed call on my phone, he then shifted to claiming the order had been picked up by a courier. When I said I'd seen nothing from a courier either, he then spoke to a staff member, then said, no, they hadn't had any orders picked up by a courier. I then asked for a refund, to which he agreed. I asked him how long that would take to come through, and he was vague - "it's usually pretty quick, in a day or so". I then said how unimpressed I was by the service, and he hung up on me. Normally, I find TP pretty good, but this branch has a major culture issue.
