This company deliberately scammed me
This company deliberately scammed me. We rented a car in Majorca. The car was perfect. No issues there. At point of rental I was asked to buy an excess insurance. I already have excess insurance and made it clear I did not need a second policy. At this point I normally just expect centauro to put a hold on EUR1400 on my credit card and return the money when I return the car. Instead the agent told me they had a better mechanism for this. A much lower hold on my credit card (approx £210) which would be returned when the car came back in good condition. This £210 was never returned. It turns out the agent lied to me and tricked me into signing for a duplicate contract excess insurance policy. This is sharp practice. So far I have failed to get the money back. Be very wary of centauro. They are clearly incentivising staff to scam customers. Update 16 June As you will see, the company replied to my review thus signalling that my issues would be listened to and maybe addressed. I followed the instructions in Centauro’s reply and have so far been completely ignored.
