Opaque subscription model.
I am rating this company 1 star to reflect the underhand tactics used to grow subscription revenue. At the anniversary of joining this company's customer base I learned that I had been automatically signed up for another year, at a cost of £89. At first I thought I must have missed the small print upon signing up and overlooked an email reminding me of the intent to auto renew unless I cancelled. After taking a deeper look, I could find evidence or neither. I promptly sent customer services an email expressing deep surprise at the action it took to auto renew the service. After 2 days of silence, I called to follow up on my complaint. It seemed their Finance department had already processed my refund yet no one from customer services thought it appropriate to respond to my email let alone apologise. I would like to make it known to existing customers that it could be argued this practice runs contrary to Unfair Terms under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
