AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Absolute nightmare renting with Acorn. When we took over our flat it was meant to be 'professionally cleaned' which it was not and there was blood on the toilet seat!! They even included the picture in the moving in inventory so they obviously think that's acceptable. We had so many plumbing issues that literal toilet waste came up from the shower and flooded the floor, was unable to use this bathroom for months and the landlord told us nothing was wrong use some bleach every few weeks down the drain..... We never got reimbursed for not being able to use this facility. The front door in the summer used to heat up that we physically couldn't open it as it was slightly leaning to the side so was jammed. It was only after making a formal complaint and getting confirmation from the fire-brigade that the door was a danger to our lives if there was a fire that it was looked into, but we had to get in and out using the balcony doors for several months! They also argued with us to pay £12 for a new part for the shower screen that was mouldy. They try and squeeze any penny from the tenants to pay for things the landlord should replace. Not a surprise at all they are now trying to take payments from our deposit for the bathroom he should have fixed when we told him and holding onto out deposit for over a month now. I cannot wait for the day to never have to deal with them again. Please learn from my mistake and use any other rental estate agent!
