Double rates than Affinity water down the road?
Moved 20 minutes down the road where my water supplier changed from Affinity Water to Anglian Water. Due to higher prices we are more conscious of our water usage. We use about 102 m3 per year, before 122 m3 per year with Affinity would cost £30 per month, Anglian costs £50 per month for less water usage? Called and spoke to Kim who said me complaining the rates are too high is like going to Tesco and asking for cheaper. Well no it's not really, is it? At least if my bill at Tesco was too high I could go to another supermarket with cheaper rates. Terrible comparison and poor customer service. Advised I'm still willing to pay £28 per month but they will not accept that, and said I will just get into debt if I don't pay their ridiculous scam rates. We do what we can to reduce water use, as we use less than we used to. To add to it, they accepted £28 per month last year, and during the sorting process I acquired a £112 bill for the time before which I paid off to ensure there was no debt. They are trying to say that I paid that to cover some of the shortfall of £28 per month which is not true and I have email and recorded calls to evidence this. Currently in £70 of debt with them which is frankly not true. Complaint to be submitted to CCWater with evidence so will see what happens there.
