This company is a scam
This company is a scam. I used them once before and told myself to never do it again but, of course, forgot why, and decided to give them another try. In 4/5 delivered boxes, most of the produce was rotten. I complained twice about not being able to make meals because I had to through the veggies or potatoes away. They gave me a credit for the first dispute, then told me they would give me a credit for the next dispute-completely removing the whole credit from the first issue and creating a new credit amount…which was not at all enough to cover both meals I lost out on. They told me my credit would be applied to my next box and when it wasn’t and I disputed it, they said the credit won’t apply until all discounted boxes are used. There is nothing in writing on their website indicating this is the case. Thor website says “credits will be auto applied to next shipment”. I talked to a bot to dispute this and then a “live agent” that has a script and will say the same thing over and over. Nothing is resolved. It’s like talking to a brick wall. Customer service is as poor as their food quality. Why would I want to continue buying boxes with you when your food is rotten. The only reason I decided to buy another box was to use my credit. I am now disputing this with my credit card. Save your money and go with another company. I love Home Chef. They are amazing with product quality and customer service. I have been a loyal customer for 9 years and I have never encountered another meal delivery kit service that would be close to comparison. Not sure why I keep trying to branch out. They try to get you with their “free boxes”…scam.
