Turning off auto-renewal is next to impossible.
Before I commit to ANY Internet purchase, THE very first thing I do is to look at how to turn off auto-renewal. I'm a believer in Steven Covey's "[7th] Habit of Highly Effective people." And what was that 7th Habit? Start from the ending and work backwards to the beginning. How does that relate to Bitdefender? Look at their cancellation policy BEFORE you commit. THEY MAKE IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO TURN OFF AUTO-RENEW. The travesty is that this is a pretty decent company when it comes to defending your computer. Do your research FIRST. I suggest you do a search on "Bitdefender" "turning off auto renewal" Lots and lots of disgruntled customers out there ... AND THEY MOST DEFINITELY REQUIRE CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. The only thing that saved me was that I bought the AV software at Best Buy and was therefore able to side-step the required credit card information to initiate the program. Be careful with this company.
