Unnecessary spend on TV advertising.
Why would a water company spend unnecessary funds on TV advertising when customers do not have an option to chose a different supplier nor others from outside their geographic area choosing a different supplier. I have emailed the CEO of Anglian Water to ask how much they spend in TV advertising, and why would they not use that money to reduce the amount of sewage polluting clean waters? No reply of course, even when I quoted the Freedom of Information Act.
