Changes to Rewards
I had been collecting points with goblin gaming through their reward scheme since before the pandemic. I had accrued enough for a £75 voucher. Then, a few months ago, I went to redeem said voucher and the rewards system was under maintenance. When it finally came back online, I had significantly fewer points. I emailed and was told that this was because a certain amount of my points had 'expired' because only the last 12 months counted. This was a completely new policy. Had I been warned that a year expiry would be put on points then I would have spent them before they took the rewards offline. I can't help but wonder whether this was done to curb the amount of points people had accrued. I was told as a 'good will' gesture I would be given a few extra points. This was enough to buy myself a new hobby knife and not much else. I did feel my loyalty had been thrown back in my face a little bit as this was around 4 years of rewards I had collected by almost exclusively buying miniatures from Goblin Gaming. This, together with the now 15% off GW prices (no longer 20%), has seen me switch my custom to Wayland Games, who I would highly recommend.
