Giving this company one star is one too many
Giving this company one star, is one star too many in my book. One cannot even speak with a customer service representative from this store to discuss their concerns and/or questions. It has to be done via email only and it takes on an average 2 days to receive a response back, sometimes longer. Additionally, the representative I dealt with via email, proved to be challenged with communicating. I had the unfortunate experience to be communicating with "Leslie" from this company, who in an email specifically stated "no customer is responsible for return shipping costs", when I asked her who would be responsible for the shipping costs, should I decide to return an item. I have her email to prove it and sent it back to her for her to review. Her response was sending me a link to the company's return policy. I would think a consumer should be able to rely upon the word of an employee, but obviously they cannot with DCG Stores. I returned the item, based on Leslie's response that no consumer was responsible for shipping returns. However, once I returned the item, Leslie had a different story. She said customers were responsible for the shipping costs. So to make a long story short, I bought an item for $200.00 returned it, which cost me $64.00 to ship back, and DCG Stores had the audacity to even deduct $11.00 restocking fees for the returned item and only credited me $188.00. In the end I paid $76.00 to end up with nothing! I asked in numerous emails to provide me with a supervisor's email so I could discuss this. Not once was this addressed. Leslie's response was "Hello, it looks like you already returned the item and got a refund.. Best, Leslie" How is that even possible that Leslie could have missed my entire point and request? It is unfortunate that DCG stores have failed this consumer, and by the looks of their reviews, have failed many, many, many more consumers, in addition to myself. I can only hope that one day this company needs to order an item from a company as bad as theirs, and they receive the same unprofessional and unsatisfactory treatment that they so flippantly pass along to their customers. In the interim, I pray that DCG Stores grows a conscience. Trust me, when I say, this has taught me a lesson to rely on reviews before making any future purchases with other companies. I doubt though, that any other company could come close to the poor treatment and service that DCG provides.
