Awful service

Awful service. We booked flights for 26th December in July & paid a premium for Boxing Day flights. In November we received the option to fly on Christmas Eve or cancel...and 4-6 weeks for the refund. Flights are still available but now £1000 more expensive. Christmas Eve flights would have been cheaper.... & with kids & elderly parents expecting Christmas Day celebrations I'm stuck! And they keep repeating the same message, Christmas eve or cancel! UPDATE. Travel Trolleys response is ingenious. The schedule change was 5 minutes and Virgin Airlines said other options were available but Travel Trolley needed to request these. They refused to help.
