Unfair COVID-19 Travel policies
I bought a ticket 6/5/20 from RDU to MBJ for 10/24-11/7/20 JDSND2. The ticket was canceled twice by SWA due to COVID 19 flight disruptions. I re-booked, then decided to cancel the flights due to uncertainty about being able to re-enter the USA upon my return. I contacted SWA on Twitter about getting an extension to rebook these flights for the same travel dates in 2021, but was told the flights must be taken by 6/5/21 or I lose my travel funds. This is very unfair, when SWA canceled the flights due to COVID, I had two years to complete travel. Because I canceled the flights, I was limited to one year to complete travel. SWA made exceptions due to COVID for other travelers, why can’t I get the same consideration? I’ve been very loyal to SWA since 2004. Why can’t they be loyal to me on this occasion during a worldwide pandemic?
