Switching between ride and delivery blocks mid-shift is a game changer
What I didn't expect was how smooth it is to flip from a ride block to a delivery block on the same shift without logging out or switching apps. Slow ride hour? I toggled into Ryde Eats delivery and picked up a Pho order from a Vietnamese spot about 1.1 miles away — fee was calculated on distance, which felt transparent. The live tracking the customer sees is accurate enough that I got zero 'where are you?' texts, which alone saves me five minutes of back-and-forth per order. The merchant-first dispatch is interesting too; when a restaurant has their own couriers, I don't get pinged for it, which means I'm not competing with in-house staff unnecessarily.
