This was actually my second time flying with SunExpress - the first was back in October 2023. I didn’t check any reviews back then, just booked and flew without a second thought, and had no issues at all. This time around, someone mentioned the airline’s low star rating, and I made the mistake of looking into it… A lot of the negative comments made me second-guess our booking, but I’m happy to say our experience was completely smooth with no issues. The staff were friendly and professional, and boarding was straightforward. We had pre-paid for our seats in both directions, and I was a bit anxious after reading that some people didn’t get the seats they paid for. However, that wasn’t the case for us, we got the exact seats we selected on both the outbound and return flights. One important tip I would give is to make sure to check in online via the actual website, not through the app. The app isn’t very reliable. Also, if you’ve booked through a company like Love Holidays, your booking may not be classed as a “tour operator” booking when checking in, so just keep that in mind. It was the only small issue we encountered, and it was easy to resolve. Overall, I’m really glad I didn’t let the negative reviews put me off. Both times I’ve flown with SunExpress, everything has gone smoothly, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.
