Overpricing Cost for Repair
Primarily, I do not write reviews! But in this case, I will make an exception. My AC unit was blowing only warm air this past weekend and therefore I contacted Parker and Sons for services. A technician came out wherein I explained my situation about the AC. He conducted an inspection. Thereafter, I was briefed that I needed a new motor for the AC unit to function again. Subsequently, I asked for the cost of the new unit (motor) and was informed that it would be $1500.00. To my astonishment, I asked why so much, he said that the installation cost is $700.00 (it took him 30-35 minutes to complete it) and $800.00 for the part (motor)? Next, I asked if the office is inclined to do the job for $1300.00 instead. He replied that he will contact the office manager to get approval for the suggested offer I made. The office manager agreed to $1298.00 which I consented to. Obviously, without making an offer a $1500.00 price tag would have been the outcome. In summation, today I contacted a different AC service concerning their price and I was informed that for labor and unit be price at $995.00 (go figure). Also, I will not employ their services again for any future services I may need. Just overpriced services/cost they offer without any good merits to their customers.
