Different Centauro service policies about debit cards for car deposite
I used Centauro service already 4 times. Last time it was Palma de Majorka from 05-15/05/2025. And I used only debit cards for 1400 deposite. I do not understand what happened 07.06.2025 in Chania airport. Why do you have different policies in different countries? It's a pity, but in that case I will have to stop using Centauro service. During collecting car from Centauro office we were needed to pay additional Smart cover with price 189 Euro. In voucher received from CarJet there was information that I can use debit cards for everything ( for deposite 1100 Euro and fuel). But in Chania office they refused to accept debit cards for deposite ( I have two debit cards with enough quantity of money) and they forced me to buy insurance 189 Euro. For deposite in Chania the accept only credit cards - but I have no any credit card. I booked very cheap Fiat Panda car to reach Stalos from Chania Airport only to escape taxi price about 120 Euro for two ways. But due to Centauro policies I payed for cheapest car 73 Euro plus 189 Euro smart cover. 261 Euro totally for 7 days only.
