First experience of Panache Cruises
I have never experienced Panache Cruises before, in fact I had never heard of them. But in researching a cruise on Explora II I found a youtube video of their founder discussing Explora, which culiminated in an interview between him and Explora's Head of Culinary. It turns out he was with Oceania Cruises for 19 years and was largely responsible for their culinary success. But now he is with Explora. This is interesting to us because we have cruised 25 times with Oceania over a 16-year period but their offering has been degraded over recent months, culminating in them introducing partial self-serve in their buffet restaurant. One reason they have earned our loyalty is because they have unswervingly maintained a hands-off policy in their buffet restaurant, but no longer it seems. Thus I contacted Panache, who were very helpful and knowledgeable, as a result of which we have just booked our first Explora cruise. If it is as good as the reviews suggest, it won't be our last.
