no co-op for the people
2 out of 5 stars Review for Co-op Supermarket I don’t usually write reviews, but after receiving an email request I felt compelled to share my experience. Co-op promotes itself as being “for the people,” but unfortunately, that doesn’t reflect what I’ve found in-store. Prices are noticeably higher than at other supermarkets, the carrier bags are so thin they often split before I even leave the shop, and despite significant investment in new fridges, many of them are frequently out of order. The contrast between the advertising and the reality has been very disappointing. I continue to shop at my local branch mainly because of convenience, but if I had an alternative nearby, I would use it instead. On a positive note, I want to highlight that the staff at the Lower Addiscombe Co-op are always friendly and helpful, which makes the shopping experience more pleasant despite the issues above.
