I wouldn’t recommend Peter Clarke based…

I wouldn’t recommend Peter Clarke based on the service I received from the Stratford upon Avon branch in particular Kerry and Harriet. Firstly, we were told that all viewings would be done on one or a couple of days. This did not happen, all the viewings were scattered as and when it suited those who viewed. They did not take into consideration that we are both working full time from home, and this was not always practical. On one of the viewing we were not home so asked that Kerry would hold on to the keys and put them through the letterbox when done. She held onto our keys for a week and we had to call the office to be told they would be dropped off but they were not dropped off until a further chaser. Once we had sold, we were being called and emailed on a daily basis with regards to updates relating to matters being out of our control. Having found a buyer for our house they had set very unrealistic timescales to appease the buyers this was under two months. For any buyer this would have been the dream… and as such the buyers rightly so kept pushing for everything to be expedited. We were specifically advised by Kerry to contact our management company ourselves in order to obtain a management pack as she advised that doing this ourselves would ‘speed up’ the process. As per her instruction we contacted the management company who were unable to liaise with us directly due to this being a matter that needed to be dealt with by the solicitor. As a result of the incorrect information, we endured over a month of constant calls and emails both from Harriet and Kerry asking what progress had been made with the management company. It even got to a point where Kerry pretended to be my partner to contact the management company herself. After a whole month had passed and no progress, I contacted my solicitor to advise that we are still waiting for the management pack, she made contact with the management company and within a day she was in receipt of the management pack because the request had to come from the solicitor. If we hadn’t been incorrectly advised in the first instance, we would have saved a lot of hassle. We had a lot of calls and emails from them all in a chasing nature for the sole interest of the buyer, it genuinely felt like we were not their client who would have been paying for their service and the buyer was! As a result of this our sale had fallen through and subsequently, we were not able to fulfil the purchase of our new home. We were left quite upset by the whole experience but they didn’t really care… once we were told the sale had fallen through they didn’t bother contacting us again until over a week later to ask if we wanted to relist our house again.
