Fake "no sale, no fee" offer
I tried to sell my flat using Sellmyhome, unsuccessfully. I had chosen the "no sale, no fee" package. Managing Director Will Clark first referred me to the "small print" about a withdrawal fee of 350 pounds. The terms and conditions make no mention of such a fee, or under what circumstances it is charged. In addition, earlier today he wrote that there is no such package, even though their website advertises this as part of a huge banner! While he claimed he was trying to get "to the bottom of this," the money has been taken from my account. Edit: They have transferred the money back, hence I now consider my experience acceptable. I hope that in future the website will be precise on the terms and conditions for both deals offers. Edit #2: I suggest you put all the information on your website. There is no mention of a withdrawal fee in your terms & conditions. Telling people AFTER they have signed up is too late.
