The Kia 7 year warranty DOES NOT EXIST
The Kia 7 year warranty DOES NOT EXIST. The car itself is really good, smooth ride, good handling, super economy. What is really poor is the after sales service. By both the dealership, National Capital Motors in Canberra and by Kia themselves. Apart from the Service department personnell being absolutely so rude and unhelpful, they were obviosly trained bt Kia. My Cerato, purchased in December 2018, has a really inaccurate speedometer (when the speedo shows 100Kph the actual road speed is just below 90Kph). I have had one attempt to run me off the road on the highway by a 'b' double who thought I was going to slowly and one attempt in Canberra by a holden ute who was in a hurry I have approached the dealer on three separate occasions and asked for it to be adjusted, to no avail, they won't even talk to me about it. I contacted Kia headquarters where Matthew flatly refused to listen to me and practically called me a liar. I am currently dealing with fair trading, who are going to make representations on my behalf. I have a 'mechanics' report from National Capital motors in Belconnen, Canberra that clearly states that the car IS doing 90kph when the speedo says 100kph. The gearbox is also defective in that the car changes back to first gear when the transmission fluid is cold for no apparent reason. The passenger side front proximity detectors don't work, despite the 'mechanic' cleaning them the day after I washed the whole car.
