OUTRAGEOUS experience with Discover Airlines and Kiwi.com! 😡 Our return flight 4Y153 from Mauritius to Marseille (via Frankfurt) was cancelled by Discover Airlines with 6 HOURS notice. The cancellation email from Discover Airlines explicitly offered the choice for a full refund, directing us to claim it through our booking agent, Kiwi.com. Faced with this last-minute cancellation, and travelling with an elderly person requiring medical assistance in Marseille, we were forced to book expensive last-minute alternative flights on the same day. After following their instruction and spending over a month of frustrating emails, calls, and chatbot interactions, Kiwi.com sent a dismissive email stating: "We regret to inform you that the carriers couldn’t provide you any refund for this trip... This concludes the refund process." This is a shocking display of poor customer service and complete disregard for passenger welfare and rights. This is not only atrocious customer service, showing zero care for passenger welfare (especially given the circumstances), but also appears to be ILLEGAL under EU law (Regulation 261/2004). Passengers should be warned about this unacceptable conduct from Discover Airlines. Passengers deserve better than this negligence and blatant disregard for their rights.
