Absolutely disgraceful
Absolutely disgraceful, booked a room in the morning for €156. Had trouble making payment on the website. Called up and spoke to the manager, even received an email to confirm the room would still be held till my arrival. However on arrival I was told all rooms were sold except a room €40 euro more. The assistant manager said she couldn't price match, and because it was the weekend there were no other hotels available. Absolutely a bait and switch by the assistant manager, despite seeing my email confirmation and conversation with the manager. Disgusting behaviour, would not recommend this hotel, and will never stay at a Bastion hotel again. Other problems with the room included a very loud banging noise that kept waking us up intermittently through the night. A sink that wouldn't drain for minutes and had peeling paint, a toilet filled with limescale and dirt marks, and a shower that also wouldn't drain and ended up flooding the whole bathroom. The hallway air vents were surrounded by years of accumulated dust. While at first glance the room and hotel looks good, they need to up the game on maintenance.
