Really disappointing experience. I ordered materials but the lorry used needed crane access, which I had not been informed about. On arrival the delivery driver was unable to make delivery as it was unsafe (he was lovely!). He had only half the order - again this hadn’t been communicated. I called Materials Market and explained the situation and they advised it was better to cancel. They then took over 3 weeks to refund and took £100 from me. This was done with no explanation, blaming me for them being unable to make the delivery. Despite being a service provider who was unable to deliver the service of delivery… I was blamed. I asked for the complaint to be escalated, the manager was ‘too busy’ to speak to me. The customer service spokesperson said themselves that I was not at fault, that they thought I’d get a full refund and when they then three weeks later refunded me they thought the £100 charge was excessive. I had another company deliver the exact same order the next week via pallet with ease. I would avoid using Materials Market as the communication was appalling and they were unclear throughout and then unwilling to take any responsibility. Save yourself the hassle as it’s been utterly tedious you could lose £100 and have nothing to show for it.
