Absolutely misleading
Absolutely misleading, AVOID!!! There may well be a genuine purpose to this page, however if I, admittedly in a panic and rush, type into Google "Pay Car Tax Online", and click on one of the top links, opening a webpage that for all intents and purposes looks like a .gov page, I expect that after I enter my car details and click on pay, that I will indeed be taken to a page to pay my tax, rather than get a payment confirmation that does not even tell me how much I have paid. Turns out to be £0.50, but unsurprisingly it also turns out that I have signed up for a monthly payment. Undoubtedly that was mentioned somewhere in small print so my bad for not scrutinising the whole thing more closely in my panic to actually pay my car tax and not get fined... According to their webpage I have cancelled this mystery thing I signed up for. There better not be further payments taken or I shall be very, very cross! Wonder if I can get my £0.50 back, as being missold a service.
