Comprehensive, flexible, easy to work with from afar
From the first email inquiry, Irish Tourism was incredibly easy to work with. We started with a 14 day Rail Tour and then with help from Stephanie G, personalized the trip to include extra days to visit the towns where my grandparents grew up before immigrating to the United States. Stephanie was always responsive to my emailed questions and made very helpful recommendations. We flew into Dublin and trained to Cork, then Killarney, Galway, Dublin and Belfast. Each of those cities was a base for day trips arranged by Irish Tourism. For travelers from the US, the rail tour was easy and comfortable and gave us a chance to see the countryside and talk with local residents. Our hotels were all wonderful, walking distance from the train station except in Dublin and Belfast as you might expect. We had a two private drivers who were wonderful too: helpful, knowledgeable and flexible to our specific circumstances. About a week before our departure I received several PDF files with all of our prepaid vouchers, maps and information about the cities and tours we had planned. That timing allowed us the change to plan our daily schedules and have a good sense of what we would be doing when on each day of the trip. Overall, Irish Tourism has our enthusiastic recommendation for being responsive, flexible, thorough, timely, and knowledgeable.
