Beware of Deposit Scam – Centauro Málaga Train Station
I rented a car from Centauro’s Málaga Train Station office for just 1 day. Returned the car in perfect condition, fully refueled, and parked it in their designated garage — no staff present, no inspection at return. Weeks later, with zero communication, Centauro sent me an invoice for €510 in “damages” — two vague, minor scratches. The suspicious part? €510 is the exact amount of my car + fuel deposit. No photos. No time-stamped evidence. Just a bill. This feels like a pre-planned deposit grab, and I’ve since found multiple similar complaints. Customer service has been evasive and refuses to provide proof. If you value your money, avoid this company — especially their Málaga Train Station branch
