Booked taxi for 06:00 to get to BHX. I rang him at 05:57 and was told he was 10 minutes away. NOT a good start, already going to be 10 minutes late. At 06:13 he rang me to say ‘the road was closed. Did I know another way around?’ So he was more than 10 minutes away and as a professional driver hadn’t even bothered to check the route/add contingencies. I told him not to bother, as we’d miss our flight. Had to take own car to BHX but the problem was our return flight was to EMA! Not Happy. OTS said as an offer of goodwill they’d refund the charge - what, for a journey I never had?!!! What an insult. And what about my additional car parking charges and cost to get back to BHX. Diddly squat for a response - absolute silence. Any Goodwill on my part completely evaporated- steer clear of a company that doesn’t give a ‘hoot’ and obviously hires unprofessional drivers.
