Absolute con artists- liars and fraud
I sent my elderly mother’s iPhone in excellent condition and full working order expecting £80 and was then reduced to £20. My mum is 82, hardly used the phone or even took it out of the house, it was merely used as an emergency device for her as she lives alone. It had a case on and a screen protector. The phone had hardly any use and the reason for me selling is that she has now moved to a care home. Mazuma tell me there is “scratches and screen burn” which is just a blatant lie and offered me an insulting price. How can my elderly mother screen burn a phone when she hardly turns it on, had no apps on it, doesn’t know how to text or even take photos? Also where did the scratches come from when she kept it at her bedside or on the coffee table and it hardly moved. I challenged the price and a very rude woman hung up on me. So I asked for the phone back which they sent with no chargers, cables and box. It has been sent back with no screen protector, case and scratches on the screen. This has clearly been done whilst on Mazuma’s premise. Needless to say I am reporting this to both Trading Standards as I have photos of the phone before sending. I will also be reporting to the police and Action Fraud for damages to others property. UPDATE: The usual AI response from Mazuma which is posted under every review. No need to contact you, you’ve damaged the phone and the appropriate people have been notified into your dishonest and fraudulent company
