zoomo repair shop, your home away from home.

Notice all of the 5 star reviews are emotional and feel good and have no specifics. They are fake. Read the one stars. when a company has a review distribution like this one you know it's a scam. Each bike (i actually like the bikes when they work) had multiple dangerous problems which they slowly fix one at a time. the bikes constantly need to be rebooted during your ride (B02 error, they refused to tell me what that meant, i finally found out it was a 'bad connection', that they don't know how to fix). The chain constantly falls off. My last ride of 8 miles the chain fell off 22 times. and the same thing happened on the previous 5 bikes. on one ride, when the chain fell off it got jammed between the spokes and casette and locked up the wheel WHILE I WAS RIDING IN NYC TRAFFIC. When they 'fixed' that they decided i needed a derailleur which they charged for even though it was caused by their maladjusted bike. i have had complete brake failures, they could only fix one brake and sent me out with one failed brake and told me they would call me. yeah, sure. wanna buy the brooklyn bridge? this last bike was delivered with the hub cones loose and it had over 1.5 inches of play, so it wouldn't steer correctly and under braking it lurched and pulled hard right. woah! utterly dangerous. of course you need to make an appointment to get a bike fixed, and the appointment software hasn't operated for at least two months. after a lengthy (measured in days) email exchange (notice they don't have a phone number to call) with an agent, you can get an appointment, but when you show up, they take all of the 'walkups' first. i am on my 5th zoomo bike in as many months. If you go with this company plan to make their repair shop your home away from home along where they don't have a mechanic and you get to spend time with disrespectful employees. They have attitude, they never call you back when they say they will. you can't get your bike fixed on wednesday's, sat and sun (they're closed). and they make unauthorized charges on your credit card. so right now i have a bike (#5) which is virtually unusable because the chain keeps falling off and their escalated solution is to make me an appointment to get it fixed. in all fairness they are excellent at one thing. CHARGING YOUR CREDIT CARD. they are prompt, timely and have no problem taking your money for items you have contracted and agreed to and those you have not authorized. if this sounds like the company you want to rely on for your delivery vehicle, by all means, use them.
