Stay away from them!
Stay away from them - This tutoring service is simply unprofessional with systemic failures and the worst experience I had with an education service provider! This has been a terrible and an expensive experience of dealing with money hungry service that does not care for its customers or it’s reputation. I employed Cluey to provide math tutoring for my child and Cluey failed on 4 occasions to provide homework after each of the sessions. Homework is crucial in cementing the knowledge and that is why one employs a tutor so that they can explain to you next time what it is that you had difficulty with during your homework. I contacted Cluey on numerous occasions after the first incident, however they were short staffed (almost always) and I waited on the phone for an hour without success. And They do not have a call back service. I called following week when there was no homework yet again and this time was told they will do something about it and contact the tutor. When I said how am I going to be compensated for this major failure on their part they told me that they do not issue refunds and that it is not major failure(!).This kept on reoccurring! How is that not a major failure - they did not deliver fully on their tutoring service?? Their website, however, does state that it is their legal obligation to refund money in this kind of situation. What is most annoying is that when I cancelled further tutoring for my child I still have not received a refund even though I gave them plenty of warning and they take money in advance of the session. Also they have a lot of 1 star reviews with very similar issues that they just don’t want to resolve. I have contacted Department of Fair Trading and Australian Tutoring Association and the latter told me that Cluey has been on their radar for similar reasons as mine and that they will be taking my complaint further.
