Don’t stay at NH City Buenos Aires
We booked NH City, Buenos Aires for 30/12/22 to 2/1/33. This period covered New Years Eve so we wanted some help in trying to find a suitable place to eat. It was so painful trying to get a response from the hotel. It took days to get in inadequate response then we’d replied and the whole saga began again. I eventually rang customer service who put me through to the hotel which did improve the communication. I tried to complain to NH at this point but there is no telephone line for complaints just bookings. I submitted a form and have yet to receive any acknowledgment or response. On arrival at NH city we found our room to old and tired. The furniture was cheap and grubby . Wood was peeling off furniture and the walls were dirty and needed repainting. Our bathroom has visible mould on the mastic. When you had a shower them bathroom became a hazard as there was only a small shower door on the antiquated bath and the water leaked over the floor. The swimming pool on the terrace had two sun lounges only , one was broken. There were no umbrellas , in 36 degree heat. The wooden floor was so hot it scolded your feet. The breakfast on the 1st day was good then it went downhill. I asked for two bananas that never arrived , the pineapple had seen better days , staff was short so food was not replenished quickly . I was very unhappy with the hotel and asked to be moved to the hotel centro Historico where it is more modern. Apparently it was full , however what Zi found appalling was the lack of concern by the reception staff . Not once did they apologise or address why I was unhappy. They couldn’t have cared less!! I stayed in an NH hotel in Scilly and it was lovely and so were the staff. Such a different experience. What is worse NH hide and don’t allow you an opportunity to complain. We are returning to Buenos Aires but have managed to change our booking to Centro Historico, I hope it improves my thoughts on NH
