Terrible Customer Service - BANNED FROM DIGIKEY!

Ordered an item that was on backorder. When the date came around it was supposed to ship, I logged into their website and it still showed "Pending" for a status. I figured, no big deal, probably just running a bit late. Fast forward a couple days, I login again, and it now shows "Cancelled/Voided". I immediately contacted customer service via live chat. They told me that paypal denied the payment, and they tried to email me twice. For starters, theres nothing wrong with my paypal account. I use it daily without any problems whatsoever. Second, I never received any kind of communication that there was an issue with my payment. I checked my spam, trash, etc, no emails indicating any kind of problem (plenty of marketing emails though, those seem to come in waves). The only email I found that somewhat lines up with the dates they said they sent an email on, was an "empty" template email that said verbatim the lines of: "Dear $name, You would place your rich text here". Obviously someone forgot to fill out the details here. On top of that, the item i ordered, is now on backorder for the next year! They offered me zero resolution to this or even admitted that they made a mistake. Instead, after a heated conversation with one of their support supervisors (Josh), they banned me from using their service in the future. I have never in my life experience such terrible customer service. Its not even about the order, its about how they handled the whole situation. If they would have just say. "Sorry, we messed up!" I probably wouldnt be leaving this review. Ya'll need to do better, the reviews here on trustpilot are pretty obvious to that point. UPDATE (5/19/2022): After opening a BBB complaint regarding my experience, I was contacted by a representative from Digikey. They apologized for the poor experience and admitted that they were having issues with their internal email system, which explained why I did not get any emails regarding the payment issue. They overnighted me the item I ordered free of charge, so at least their retention department is on point.
