TOTAL SHAMBLES
I completed a list of goods to send to Spain. I confirmed all goods being sent was for my personal use. The office staff checked the list and confirmed all items are OK to send.The parcels were collected ready to be transported by the carrier. Then I received email Spain could not accept the consignment. All because the staff did not understand what was allowed to be sent.I ended up making 10 expensive calls to Spain to clarify what the issue was only to find they wanted an additional €22 for admin costs. Out of the 3 parcels only 2 were allowed due to 2 small spice jars that were not allowed with Customs.The staff did not know the 2 jars were not permitted which resulted in all the contents of that box had to be stopped. Shambles and a lot of stress to me. In my opinion staff should be fully knowledgeable about the rules and should have picked up and advised accordingly.
