A personalized train tour of special Irish sites
We didn't want a "tour" where you have to spend 10 days with the same people, but at the same time, we had limited time and little knowledge of Ireland. Stephanie of Irish Tourism put an excellent package together for us - and it was just so relaxed! All vouchers for travel and for our hotels were emailed in advance. We traveled by train between cities, and in one segment we had a driver. All the hotels were better than great - located within walking distance of the train stations, and Stephanie booked local day trips for us, which all turned out to be so very beautiful and interesting places. We stayed in Cork, Killarney, Galway, and Dublin - and did day trips out of each city. Stephanie was consistently quick to reply to any of my questions and provided us with a really useful and comprehensive itinerary far in advance so we could study up and learn more about the places we were visiting and the history of the sites we were planning to see. A first-rate experience, one we'd love to repeat with visits to other areas of Ireland. Oh - and I can't forget to mention how friendly everyone was. It's so great to be treated as a friend by a total stranger - this happened consistently throughout our 10-day tour.
