Arch Dukes Tour July 4, 2016 -July 13,2016
Our ACIS representative, Stephanie Smith, was terrific. Our ACIS European tour guide, Albert, was very informative and assisted me when I had an accident in Budapest. I am thankful I had both people with me on the trip. In Budapest I took a nasty fall in an intersection and landed on my face. I had cuts, severe bleeding, and a fractured nose. The problem was that no one knew where a hospital was. I think ACIS should give the tour manager and all ACIS employees information on hospitals near where we are traveling. The facility I was driven to in a taxi was horrible. It was filth. The medical staff did not use gloves or even was their hands. I had to insist on an x-ray that I then had to pay for in cash before I could receive it. (ACIS did reimburse me for all expenses.) Stefanie and another ACIS traveler met me at the hospital and got me in a cab to go back to the hotel. They then found a pharmacy after an hour of searching to get me alcohol and fresh bandages to clean up. Please make efforts to give medical information to your staff. I continued the trip and all the hotels were excellent. The first nights dinner in Prague was not good and the last nights dinner in Munich was terrible. In Munich it was a two mile walk back to the hotel. I enjoyed the group I traveled with and the knowledge of Albert and all the individual guides was excellent. All ended well. I have recovered with only two scars on my face.
