Do not rely on the shuttle
Everything was great up until the last morning. Pick up on arrival was easy, the shuttle bus showed up almost right away, and our car was nearly new. The problem came when we went to return the car. On our last morning we had an early flight. Lava is supposed to be open from 5am to check out and provide the shuttle bus. By 6am no one was at the office. The bus driver was there, but had no access to the keys. 14 customers were waiting, thankfully one person had the phone number for what seemed to be the only taxi in Keflavik. Long story short, no issues with the car or the rental, but do not rely on the shuttle bus for an early flight!!
