Very bad service complaint submitted to UKICC
I purchased a laser engraver and very quickly discovered that it may not have limit switches (safety switches). I then informed elegoo that I wanted to cancel my purchase. The order has not been despatched. Elego have failed to answer my emails or toconfirm that they will refund my payment. Whilst it states that elego is based in Florida, their website suggests that they are based in the UK. However, I have since discovered that the company is based in China. They are deliberately misleading on their websites. I made the purchase believing that I would be protected by the UK distance selling regulations (due to their deceit and dishonesty). It appears that I may not be protected. I have asked the UK international chambers of commerce to intervene.
