Don't fall into this kind of scam

In Feb., 2024, I was allured at the lobby of Marriott Marguis Hotel to go to MVC branch office in Manhattan for a sale presentation of Marriott Vacation Club (MVC) time sharing program. During the presentation, I was offered to buy 4000 MVC points for USD $52040 but I declined. then, the sale person added 4000 additional MVC points for the first year and another 4000 MVC points for the second year. I also declined. He then checked with his manager to add 550,000 Marriott points as well as to advance me or my wife’s Marriott membership status to lifetime Platinum . ( I took a photo to show the offer including Marriott points of 55,0000 on the screen.) With these bonuses in mind, finally, I accepted the offer and purchased it. Without those bonuses, I will not consider to purchase the MVC 4000 points of time sharing at all. 2-3 weeks after I paid off the balance, I didn’t find the promised 550,000 Marriott points and my wife’s membership status remained unchanged. Therefore, I started calling, emailing or texting the sale person. From the communication records and the photos, the saleman admitted that I was offered the 550000 Marriott points and Marriott membership status advancement to Lifetime Platinum. This is strong evidence that those are part of the deal though the saleman intentionally or unintentionally did not include those in the purchase agreement. I asked MVC either to give me the promised marriott points and membership status change or refund me $10,000 USD through American Express, but MVC refused because it was not listed in the purchase agreement although the sale person admitted that he did offer me those bonuses in the email.
