Alicante airport staff blatantly selling insurance
Alicante airport staff - took half hour to get our car because the lady at the desk kept trying to sell us the 26 euro per day extra insurance. Every few minutes she pointed out that for a tiny scratch it would cost us 500 euros. This went on until we firmly said can we just get our car, we do not want the insurance. She said 'I'm not selling insurance'. Obviously she is. When about to pay the 1400 euro deposit she said it's not a deposit. Again another heated discussion about the deposit. She implied we would lose it if the car got a scratch. Finally picked up the car, it was a Fiat 600 and not a Ford Focus (I know they say similar but the Fiat is crap). It hadn't had a wash since the previous person and no screenwash. I have given 1 star because dropping off took 10 minutes and no we didn't lose our deposit! Never again
