Research and seek out an alternative
Research and seek out an alternative. I've no doubt the awful, protracted process behind the scenes will suit some people to fit their lifestyle however, if you actually want to progress and start earning or see a return on your significant investment I would look to train with another organisation. The website still states you can be earning in 2-3 months which is an incredibly unlikely occurrence. In person the trainers are outstanding, Jeanette, Katie, Ross, Rob and Simon deserve public acknowledgement however the rest of the training/learning experience is without any exaggeration wholly appalling and lets down the trainers. We can start from the top, despite an enormous list of training locations you will be lucky to get a date for a workshop nearby unless you wait months. Some people on my workshops had travelled 3+ hours to attend. At every point I've had to chase up marking of work. My level 2 portfolio hadn't been marked when I had my PT workshop due. The formatting of the workbook caused an issue where I had to re-do work and submit. An issue I raised and was still a problem when submitting workbook later on. My PT portfolio wasn't an issue as it was marked in person but, I still had to chase up the issuing of my certificate - months after passing my assessment and the portfolio being signed off. The Sports massage course has been possibly the worst element of the whole learning experience with Future Fit. 50% of my workshop failed the A&P exam in person, the resit was 3+ hours of work on top of the workbook and online learning. The marking of the exam took 13 weeks and only happened following a complaint. I'd had to chase up the results numerous times to know if I'd passed and avoid more work in addition to my workbook. My workbook was returned for me to re-work some answers and again the formatting issue meant repeating some of the answers due to some sort of integration issue behind the scenes. Following a complaint I had a fair and honest explanation that they were struggling with markers. I accepted that, at that point. When I resubmitted my workbook I got 3 different timeframes for marking of it, from 3-4 weeks, 6-10 weeks or 8-12 weeks. The automated acknowledgement said 2 weeks! I'm still within the expected 10 weeks, it then takes a further 6 weeks to get the certificate. I passed my assessment over 7 months ago with completed work following within 3 weeks of that. I had booked to do another course but given up on that and been refunded. Complaining makes no difference, nothing changes. You just get platitudes. The customer service is terrible. At no point does anything get addressed other than a couple of CPD courses tossed in. When you're presented with a customer that is so unhappy with the service, it doesn't matter whet the problem is - you will be measured by what it is to rectify the situation. Currently that is to just keep peddling the same excuses. I've given up complaining directly, Future Fit, you have had adequate time to get your act together and deliver on the course and qualification that I've completed. I've never felt compelled to complain publicly in such a way about a company. Please don't waste your time with some soft soap reply, just get on with marking my work and let me have my qualification completed.
