Nuffield health gym n pool in denham village. Grabbed our membership money failing to tell us that The swimmers are mostly elderly and have no manners The car park dosnt open till 8am They have 2 car parks - one has 5 spaces the others are electric charging stations. One doesn't open till 8am. There's parking in the residencial area of the gym they said..no there isnt- there's about 4 and they are always filled they've put double yellows all round because of the nagging residents. This gym is in the wrong place. I bet the residents wouldn't moan if they moved and that took away their entitled memberships. The residents hate nuffield being there and staff openly say it. The gym and spa/pool area is in need of a make over- along with the showers...mould/dirt and there's 3 that have temperamental really hot water temps..don't even mention the swimming costume spinner that never works, the useless hairdryers and the fact that the steam room n sauna regularly don't work. I came here 10 years ago- nothing has changed - still the same tiles missing only more in pool and spa areas now... not one penny it looks like has been spent on bringing this place into 2025 or tlc No love! No love, no membership from me. After only 2 weeks of rejoining my husband and I are leaving after discovering for ourselves how mis sold it seems we have been. Staff told me you only get one day /session to try it out...hoping you won't cotton on..we didn't...no the pool and gym do not 'peter off' and get quieter towards the end of the week like I was told. There needs to be lanes in the pool. I'm told it's a leisure pool- I don't see a slide/ i don't see anyone swimming widths or round n round- everyone's trying to find a spot to swim lengths- i asked several other swimmers and all agreed it's needed. I will wait till there's a space to swim and trust me 5 people at the most is all there is room for- put lanes in you double that number straight away. Some older regulars feel so 'entitled'- not looking to wait but bowling in n swimming in front of you. Rude. Staff don't care they have an easy life. Sadly I wasn't even asked why I wanted a leaving form after only just joining. The member of staff actually couldn't give a hoot I was leaving and wasn't interested in my constructive feedback. Same member of staff that told me nothing about the car prk and suggested later days of the week are less busy. I feel robbed tbh. I've now got to give a month's notice and can not leave for 6 weeks as we are mid April. Another payment will come out on 1st may. I even went swimming at 4pm one day..the pool was cloudy! It's clearer in the mornings as it's cleaner What is with letting swimmers in wearing t shirts and shorts too! It's a safety hazard and unhygeinc! There's no lifeguard as its small but if your letting people in fully clothed probably due to health reasons...I'm good thanks- I don't want to swim in the same water as laundry detergent ! Shame on nuffield seems a lot of there gyms are run down and neglected - i came from stockley nuffield. . The price does not reflect this tiny place or my experience at all. I'd like the manager to call me to discuss but he won't because no one cares- they got enough members. How about you have a booking system / don't take on new members or put lanes in. The studio holds 15 people so never any chance of getting a class booking- but that's ok say staff if you ring before 7am when booking opens you might get on...lol
