Wouldn't go near them again.
Wouldn't go near them again. I really try to support the Irish shops if I can but no excuse for an online shop to operate this way in this day and age Had bought gloves,a battery and a couple of other bits before.Service ok(delivery was slow - a week from cork to Dublin?!? About 6 months ago ordered a pair of strider casual boots. Email received,Order accepted. Next day, email received - order processing.(money paid when order accepted) A week goes by,no updates etc. Email to inquire about it only to be told their not in stock but offered an alternative (fair enough, bit miffed why I wasn't informed promptly of this but whatever- cancelled the order and received refund) Ordered a full set of gear, jacket, trousers and back protector €500+ (all the same brand, colours that I fancied and the best price in the EU by a nice margin.as mentioned before I'd prefer to buy from an Irish outfit,it's a bonus if the price is better than on the continent) Order received, money paid. Next day email, order processing. No communication for 5 days. Got to thinking about the time with the boots... Decided to cancel the order, stating my previous experience as well. Received an email stating that the websites is not a live stock list and that items are part of an order coming from the UK and due to Brexit etc. Tbh,I wouldn't have had an issue with that(not in a hurry for the gear and would have been happy to wait) a simple email would have sufficed to let a customer know this is the case isn't too much to ask for in this day and age. The onus seems to be on the customer to inquire about lead times on products, despite having paid for the items... Anyways, went to have a look on the site for a lock and chain, thinking I'll at least buy something from him(again,I'd prefer to buy from an Irish outfit if possible) now I was going to email before parting with money to see if/when it might be in stock. Opened up the page to have a screen telling me my account has been locked... A bit bizzare behaviour really. If you can't fulfill an order or there's gonna be a wait be nice if they'd enlighten the customer to this fact. Not really an issue not having a live stock list in my opinion,an email costs nothing but alas seems a stretch too far for this outfit.
