Absolute shambles of a company
Absolute shambles of a company. Taken out numerous polices previously due to my underlying health conditions and also since my wife suffering a cardiac arrest in 2018 and now diagnosed with a heart condition, she also has taken out a few polices with them and have never claimed a thing from them. Then on booking our holiday in early March 2020 for December 2020 to USA we purchased or policies for the combined price of £420 which we paid. Then a few weeks later the covid crisis took over and the inevitable happened and our holiday was subsequently cancelled. Having received money back for my flights, accommodation and car hire company, I contacted just travel cover insurance in June 2020 I was informed that I was only entitled to half the money back from my policies. 6 months before I would have been flying out I was informing them of the cancellation. I was told that I have 3 options, 1- it would be a transfer for another trip up until Dec 2021 for my policy however only till Sept 2021 for my wife’s. 2- Or it would be half the money refund 3- or it would be the refund amount plus 25% to a credit receipt to use within 12 months from date of issue (June 2021). No consideration for the circumstances, no compromise with regards to refund minus admin costs and limited options during these uncertain times. The company now makes me think that if I were to claim whilst I was on holiday, how sure would I be that Justtravelcover have just stitched me up with a fake insurance company just to get my money. Hopefully this is read prior to someone using this joke of an organisation.
