We booked a round trip flight from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to San Diego, California. The permit the humanitarian organization we are working for has expired so there is no reason for us to return. Therein lies the problem. Even though we will no longer be able to work in Vietnam, even though we have given two weeks notice, we cannot, with or without trip insurance, cancel or our return trip to a country we are no longer able to work in.
