Apex Hotel Glasgow
Stayed for 4 nights in the alleged 4 star hotel. Pros: great location for city centre Very clean modern hotel Great friendly staff - really nice staff! Cons: Smallest room I have ever stayed in, especially in a 4 star hotel, just about room to walk around the bed No sofa or table/chair in room to eat at Awful restaurant, just dont bother Odd arrangement with towels, no where to hang towels in bathroom, one hook on the back of the door but no towel rail for showering and drying towels Tiny wardrobe space for 2 people Style over substance So, great hotel for one night maybe and no eating in the restaurant which has a weird assortment of tables and too trendy chairs making comfortable dining difficulty - dont try room service as there is no where to eat only in your bed I did express all these opinions to the staff on leaving whose response was that I had only booked a standard room (!!) in a travel lodge or premier Inn maybe you can get away with this but in a 4* hotel, I expect better. Felt a bit conned.
