Legit but a rare bad experience
I will start off by saying, by all accounts, it is a legitimate competition! My first experience became very negative for me when I won a R56 JCW Mini back in September 2019. The car was incredible to look at. In an effort for good karma and to "pay it forward" I sold my FN2 Type R cheap and collected the Mini. I barely got much use from it before I had to replace the whole engine a little over a month later. Had barely done any miles but was told by DCG I wouldn't get help as it's second hand and a suspected oil fault. Took it to the recommended and reputable Millsy's Autos who confirmed it wasn't an oil fault but showed the destroyed engine and need for a new engine/turbo which I got completed. Another engine management light appeared and I lost faith and sold the car. Anyway, despite everything I still partake and yesterday I won £250, so not all doom and gloom. Overall, I still play, but I ended up losing money from my first win so would be unlikely to take a second hand car without warranty again.
