Economy Energy owe me nearly £500, over two months since my switch on October 6. Matthew at their customer service centre informed me that they are still within the policy of 28 days from the issue of the final statement; news to me .. this was my fourth recorded phone conversation. The electricity statement was October 21; gas was November 14, 5 weeks from the switch. I am now on my 3 monthly direct debit for my new supplier. Economy Energy is making a mockery of a cost effective and fair energy market. I wish I had never found them. I moved to them because they offered an initial attractive rate which was increased by 40 percent within 3 months.
